Overview

Food Safety International

Food Safety International is a Kenyan firm founded to provide specialist services in support of food safety and quality management in the food value chain from farm to farm.  It seeks to address the challenges of achieving total quality and safety in food products as well as in the management and running of the food business organizations through science, technology, training, and advisory.

 

The firm has been established in Kenya since 2007, and it has since developed a robust training and service portfolio that squarely addresses the needs of the target market conveniently and affordably. FSI has built not only in-house capacity but also works with a consortium of highly qualified professional consultants in a wide spectrum of professions that serve the food industry and related services.
FSI has grown a network of collaborating and support organizations as well as a large client portfolio. This network has become the backbone of the firm in terms of information resources, expertise, market links as well a financial support. These organizations include profiled clients, learning institutions, certification bodies, private organizations, NGOs, industrial service providers, government bodies, international organizations and resourceful professionals.
The business of FSI has been generated purely through referrals by happy clients, who do not also hesitate to call on our services from time to time for repeat services.

To grow into a renowned and trusted institution that offers capacity building in the food industry and its related service providers.

Purpose

To be a pillar for the advancement of the food industry, contributing to ending poverty, and hunger, and promoting human health and decency (SDG 1, 2, 3) achievable through nutritious, safe food production systems.

Mission

Capacity building for the food industries in establishment and management of food safety and quality management systems. This is achieved through training personnel, designing food facilities, establishing management systems, working with government agencies, as well as carrying out research and disseminating solutions required to produce safe, quality and acceptable food products.
